Ductile CNC micro-machining is a beneficial machining process following the “coarser” micrometer-accurate grinding process. This results in a very smooth surface finish and also enables a sub-micrometer standard deviation on the geometrical tolerances of products that are machined out of brittle materials such as like glass and ceramics.
