We coined the word “Pemming” to clearly describe and differentiate this PECM technology. Contactless and precisely metal parts are machined using the PECM process. Between a negatively polarised tool-electrode (cathode) and a positively polarised workpiece (anode) flows an electrically conductive electrolyte: salt water.

Due to uneven allowances in the blank of these parts, manual marking and gauging are required to determine the machining datum and positional deviation of the workpiece, which affects the continuous operation time of the machine tool and can easily lead to excessive machining results.

We use both lab-grown diamonds and mined diamonds. There is no difference between both materials. However, lab-grown diamond is a sustainable alternative to mined diamond. Besides that, every mined diamond has its own properties. Therefore, the performance can differ and is less predictable.
