PECM – Precision Electro Chemical Machining

PECM (Precision Electro Chemical Machining) is a very advanced processing technique with a high degree of reproducibility, with which products can be processed to a high degree of precision (with an accuracy of up to 0.002 mm).

PECM: new possibilities for extreme precision

Ter Hoek uses the most advanced techniques to produce precision components to the smallest dimensions. They have been a leader in the field of Electrical Discharge Machining for over 30 years with experience in wire EDM, die sinking, EDM drilling, and micro EDM milling. Innovations such as Precision Electro Chemical Machining (PECM) have opened up a wealth of new possibilities to provide even better, smaller, and more advanced solutions.

Henk Nijland, application engineer

Henk Nijland, application engineer at PECM, is one of the pillars of the Application Center for PECM in Benelux, based at Ter Hoek in Rijssen since 2016. He is specialized in engineering, creating solutions for demanding cases including the tooling needed. In his presentation, Henk Nijland will not only talk you through how the technology works, but also share valuable ins and outs around cases. How did he face problems and think of the solution needed? Why is tooling so important?
