What
Knowledge of manufacturability is essential in product development. With the Manufacturing Technology Conference, we boost the knowledge about manufacturability for engineers and help them looking for possibilities to use.
During this day, 100 different manufacturing technologies will be shown. We invite you as a specialist of a certain technology, to explain the possibilities and limits of this technology. This is how designers can enrich their knowledge of manufacturability in one day by having one-on-one conversation with your specialists about the use of manufacturability.
From added value to solving a function.
You can participate in two ways. As a visitor, simply present during the conference. Or participate as a participant and use your knowledge for even better cooperation. Go quickly to Sign up and register.
Your organization has interesting knowledge that can be used to create good, manufacturable products. These can be manufacturing processes or qualification processes, but also knowledge that can be used during the design process. Register as a participant.

Welcome as a possible participant supplier in the first
Manufacturing Technology Conference 2023
By sharing knowledge you draw attention to your technology within the manufacturing industry.
Our goal is to have as many different techniques as possible, some even double.
Since there are several suppliers for many techniques, we have to be strict with the registrations and will therefore sometimes have to disappoint suppliers. Sorry about that but it’s a recurring event so more opportunities are coming.
For this purpose a content committee has been appointed, consisting of employees of ASML, Thermo Fisher Scientific and partners of the Knowledge Sharing Centre.
A presentation background is made for each participating party so that your organization becomes visible. However, your organization is asked to make a layout for this back wall so that we can ensure that it is printed.

Visitor profile
The main target audience are employees who are involved with technology during their work employees who, during their work, are engaged in technology such as engineers, new product introduction, supply chain, quality or purchasing who are challenged every day to come up with the smart solutions of tomorrow. To give them the tools to make the right choices during the process, we want to give them an overview of the different technologies and possibilities.
Welcome as visitor at the first
Manufacturing Technology Conference 2023
You can boost your manufacturing knowledge completely free of charge while participating in this conference.
- You will find different manufacturing techniques, all with their own explanation.
- Technical people find technical people and have one-on-one consultations about technology.
- Increase your knowledge of manufacturability.
- Posters with process explanations start a conversation.
- Presentations are shared for more detailed information.
- This conference is physical and everything will be available afterwards on the specially designed website.
- A recurring conference to give and maintain different techniques the right amount of attention.
- But you can also be looking for new techniques that can make your design possible.
- Expand your technical network.
- Staying informed is of course very important.
Technology to share
No, it is not the intention that your organization will share your IP knowledge. For the use of a technique, the basic knowledge of the manufacturing technique is important.
Think about:
– Advantages and disadvantages of the technique.
– What limits does the technique have. What tolerances can be reached.
– What are the do’s and don’ts.
Help with applying the technique that can help with understanding.
Recommendations for Preparation
If you need help about the item “intellectual property”, please take a look at this information and make an appointment if necessary.
Certainty is better than maybe.
You can share your knowledge in two ways when participating in this event.
Create poster: You make a poster that will be shown during the conference with the general explanation of your technique. Your expert will be present to talk to the visitors. The poster will also be available on this website so that it can also be found after the conference day.
Create presentation: You make a presentation that we record before the conference so that you have time to tell more about your technique (recording duration 15 minutes). This presentation will be available on this conference website so that everyone can view it, even after the conference day.
Posters can be seen at the ‘Manufacturing Technology Conference” event and afterwards they will be available online for an even wider audience.
Guidelines for creating your presentation
We will look for a collaboration between a designer and a manufacturing expert to arrive at a good presentation through the right collaboration.
- Third party and supplier names may not be mentioned without express permission from that third party or supplier.
- Datasets and technical drawings provided by third parties cannot be included unless use is authorized by the Information Owner.
- Only confidential information can be shared, no trade secret or technical top secret is allowed. If in doubt, please contact the owner of the information.
- The poster must be written in English.
- The text is clear and to the point (use bullet points, numbering and headings for easy reading).
- Use visual elements instead of text whenever possible.
- Animations or movies in your poster are not allowed (your poster will be converted to an image file for both the online platform and a location).

While making and presenting a poster, it is also the intention to further recommend your technique by making a presentation where you can go into more details of the process.
Guidelines for creating your presentation.
We will look for a collaboration between a designer and a manufacturing expert to arrive at a good presentation through the right collaboration.
Template
- Use the standard KSC template to prepare your presentation.
- Do not change the layout or cover the template features (eg KSC logo, slide number) with text or images.
Acknowledgements, Confidentiality, Peer Review
- Names of customers and suppliers may not be included in the presentation without the express permission of that customer or supplier.
- Data sets and technical drawings provided by third parties (e.g. customers) cannot be included unless use is authorized by the Information Owner.
- Only confidential information can be shared, no trade secret or technical top secret is allowed. If in doubt, contact the information owner (usually your group leader).
- Before uploading your final presentation, it is strongly recommended that it be reviewed by the department managers to meet the high quality standards.
Style, text, length, visuals
- The presentation must be in English.
- Title is short and arouses interest.
- When determining the number of slides, keep in mind that you only have 15 minutes for the presentation.
- All video clips in your presentation (if any) must be in MPEG or AVI format.
A voice-over can also be added on the MTC website. By a voice-over we mean that you are able to add spoken text commentary to your presentation. This technique allows you to transfer even more information than with a regular presentation.
We therefore really recommend that you take some time to record this voice-over. This can really make a difference.
Voice-over opnemen in PowerPoint
Making a recording via teams is of course also possible.
This knowledge will be applied within the Knowledge Sharing Center to promote technical knowledge. Always mention your organization name.

Knowledge sharing Centre
The Knowledge Sharing Centre
We would like to welcome you to the Knowledge Sharing Centre platform. An independent non-profit platform where collaboration is key.
Our positioning:
The KSC is the connector between companies from the design and manufacturing industry, which bundles knowledge in an accessible way to achieve joint growth and collaborations on a trusted basis.
Our vision:
The Knowledge Sharing Centre is an independent platform, located in the Netherlands, that facilitates knowledge assurance and sharing so that the chains of the manufacturing industry can perform competitively and successfully worldwide.
No, it is not the intention to share Intellectual property. The intention is that the visitors of this event come into contact with different techniques. Acknowledging the principles of the various techniques is sufficient. After that, cooperation will always be necessary to come to a complete story.
So, sharing general information is enough.
We feel that sharing general information cannot pose a competition problem. It will, however, lead to improved cooperation.
Certainly you are free to contact any of the suppliers found on this website. The goal of the Knowledge Sharing Centre is to bridge the gap between developers and makers.
It’s great that you also think the need for sharing knowledge is important. We would like to sit down with you to see how we can strengthen each other.
Send us an email and we will contact you.
